 The Queen's Hotel is Gibraltar's only Budget Hotel.  Nowhere
in Gibraltar is very far away, but with this Hotel's central location
everywhere is close by. A few minutes walk takes you to the Cable
Car, a direct and heady route to the Upper
Rock nature reserve, just beyond the cable car are the Alameda
Botonical Gardens, a haven for Flora, Fauna and Tranquility. |
| With the hotel located at one end of the town's busy tax free
Main Street, if shopping is on your agenda, you will enjoy working
your way along the popular U.K High Street stores, gold and jewelry
boutiques, and of course, the wide range of wine, spirits and
tobacco shops to be found here. Upon reaching the far end of
Main Street which opens on to bustling Casemates Square, with
it's many choices of restaurants and bars, why not have one of
the many friendly taxi drivers return you and your purchases
to the hotel. The majority of the taxi drivers are also licensed tour guides and can take you on a detour up the rock itself to be introduced to the Gibraltar Apes or take you to St. Michael's Cavewhere you can go inside the Rock itself! |
 Parking
is available in front of the hotel, and just outside the main entrance a bus
stop, where, for a nominal amount, you can travel on an unlimited day ticket
around Gibraltar (open top deck during the summer season). Take in the sights
from the Spanish border, the Airport,
6 beaches or to the lighthouse at Europa
Point which is the southern most point of, not only Gibraltar, but one
of the southern most points of the Iberian Peninsula. |
